This is what happened during one of my MSN conversations today:
Exam stress? I don’t know, I’m starting to realize that I am forgetting about things that I thought I’d never forget.
I’m real good at forgetting birthdays [FB reminder is a genius], I forget where I put my keys, I can forget where I put my wallet, I can remind myself to grab a pen from the desk only to take my handphone and forget all about my pen.
I really admire people who don’t ever lose their things around or forget things that easily. My father ALWAYS says that I’m 粗心大意 [clumsy, do things w/o putting in much effort etc] but it’s not as if I’ve never tried to remember! I just happen to lose/forget my things at the most crucial point in time.
Face it. No one ever applauds you when you remember to bring something. But everyone chides you when you forget to do so (causing a bit of inconvenience). It’s just the way life is.
Recently I’ve received this book called “How to get things done without trying too hard” as my birthday present. It works well though, but I’m still trying to become more organized now that I’ve just moved home and all my things are lying around. (And oh yes for birthday ppl: pls write ur friends’ names on the present when you receive them if you’re likely to forget who gave you what. I learnt it the hard way, so I can’t remember who gave me this book right now =X I’m so sorry!)
Sobs. I should sleep.
